The Text 'Exam Papers' in Black

In the United Kingdom, SATs (Statutory Assessment Tests) are standardised assessments taken by primary school students, typically at the ages of 7 (Key Stage 1 SATs) and 11 (Key Stage 2 SATs). These exams evaluate students’ proficiency in subjects such as English and mathematics. SATs serve as a means to assess the school’s performance and provide a snapshot of students’ academic progress. The results are used for educational accountability purposes and to identify areas for improvement. Unlike the SATs in the United States, the UK SATs are not college admissions tests.
